Overview

The UAE Valuation business line is a key strength in the Dubai office. The appointment is for a graduate surveyor based within a team specialising in loan security valuations for local, international and private banks and their private wealth customers, covering both commercial and residential sectors. The majority of the work is within the Emirate of Dubai, but may also include Abu Dhabi and the Northern Emirates. The role is ideal for those wishing to pursue, or currently pursuing the APC, towards qualification as a member of the RICS.

Responsibilities

  • To conduct residential and commercial valuation assignments, including but not limited to inspection, valuation, report writing, meeting and presenting to clients
  • To collate information from internal and external sources on the Middle East property markets
  • To maintain a database of information by co-ordinating with the research and valuation team members
  • To collaborate with other departments to obtain and provide data on markets
  • Preparation of reports from data collected on the assignments as and when required
  • To develop relationships with companies, institutions and other bodies with a view to offering Cluttons’ capabilities and obtaining information on ongoing or future work
  • From time to time there may be a requirement to assist in areas other than consultancy services within the company with occassional travel expected outside of the UAE
  • Undertake a role in the promotion and development of the Valuation team within the wider Cluttons business
  • Contribute to fee income commensurate with role and as set by the team leader
  • Produce high quality presentation skills, with the ability to present information accurately and succinctly both orally and in draft reports
  • Co-ordinate and manage instructions, specifically the turnaround time whilst maintaining quality control
  • Manage multiple instructions at the same time efficiently and effectively
  • Support senior/qualified staff in achieving their individual and/or departmental set goals and objectives
  • Use of valuation software such as Argus

Qualifications

Essential qualifications

  • Educated to Bachelor degree and/or Masters level (must be RICS Accredited)
  • Driving license holder

Essential experience

  • Preferably some knowledge of/experience in the Middle East markets, within the Real Estate sector
  • Arabic/bilingual speaker would be a plus
